Not as luxurious as advertised Negative: I was disappointed with my stay at Samaya Hotel Apartments, Dubai, especially considering it is advertised as a luxury serviced apartment. The Wi-Fi coverage was inadequate, with no signal at all in the master bedroom, which was extremely inconvenient and unacceptable for a property of this standard. For a supposedly high-end serviced apartment, there was no coffee or espresso machine, which is a basic amenity one would reasonably expect. The lighting in the apartment was poorly designed. There were no bedside lamps or side lights, leaving only harsh ceiling spotlights or complete darkness, making nighttime use and reading uncomfortable. The apartment also did not match the description on the website. The living room was advertised as having a sofa bed, but on arrival it was just a regular L-shaped sofa that could not be converted into a bed, which was misleading. Additionally, when I used the washing machine, it flooded the corridor, which was both inconvenient and concerning. On the second night, I was disturbed by banging noises on the window, which turned out to be an unsecured cable repeatedly hitting the window due to the wind. Soundproofing was very poor, and I could clearly hear noises from the neighboring apartment. Finally, exiting the parking lot forces you into a single direction directly onto the highway, adding at least 15 extra minutes to any journey, which was very frustrating and impractical. Overall, the stay fell far below expectations, with multiple maintenance issues, misleading information, and a lack of basic comfort. It did not justify the price or the “luxury” label.
